Originally a theater offering vaudeville shows and silent movies, the Majestic Theater was built in 1925 in the Colonial Revival style. Today, the grandeur of this historic venue has been restored, with the 1,200-seat theater presenting live plays and musical acts. In more recent years, the theater has been expanded, now holding two movie theaters that offer both classic films that honor the era when Eisenhower frequented the Majestic and modern art house movies. Set right in downtown, the theater is just north of the David Wills House and just a short stroll away from many fantastic restaurants.
